In 1455 Pope proclaimed Saint Vincent Ferrer. Born in Spain in 1350 at 17, he entered the Dominican order.
Wise man, was often requested as an arbitrator and counselor of public associations and of noble families and popular. He died in Britain in 1419.
The Dominican Father Vincent Palomares of the Dominican convent of Plaza ¹, having been miraculously healed in his youth, killed by sword and thrown into the flames, had been recalled to life miraculously by St. Vincent Ferrer, the proclamation of Holiness was invaded by sacred ardor: not only convinced the people and authorities to begin the construction of a church in honor of the new Saint, but proposed and obtained to proclaim the same, patron of the city of Piazza.

The Pistoia died at Plaza in 1466 in the odour of sanctity and jobs, for the construction of the Church of San Vincenzo began in 1470, right next to the Dominican convent (later Seminary), ceased being failed public donations.
After about a century the incomplete building was granted to the society of Saint Vincent and the SS. Cyprian and mercury, with the obligation to complete the Church.

In 1578 was decisive contribution of noble panicker Joseph Starrabba who, along with other donations, completed the construction work. The Starrabba besides being count of nose was Baron of puss, Bimisca and Scibìni (where by his descendant, Prince Gaetano Maria, in 1756 was founded the town of Pachino).
At his death in 1610, he was buried in a coffin, which still exists, in the Church of Saint Vincent, at the bottom left of the main altar.
And here's why the Church has long closed, there are countless coats of arms of this family.
