District Casalotto

The rural suburb of Casalotto belonged to the census Branciforti Mazarin, and only around 1598 it became part of the city of Piazza.
In the village there was an oratory of San Filippo Blacks, in the seventeenth century was transformed into a sacramental church.
The church of San Filippo is located in the homonymous plan and present a simple statement, with a portal carved in sandstone.
In the lower part of the district stands the seventeenth-century church of the Carmine, with the convent, which was built on the ruins of the century church of St. Albert, which is the bell tower in Gothic-Catalan.
Interesting century cloister and the marble Madonna of A. Gagini placed above the door of the church.
